Cafe Glace
Ingredients:
3/4 l milk, 3 dl concentrated coffee, 300 g. sugar, 300 g cream, vanilla.
Directions:
Unlike coffee ice-cream, this is just an ordinary coffee with milk put in a cup to froze and it is served much softer than other ice-creams.
Prepare 3 dc of filter concentrated coffee. Boil milk with a little vanilla (as desired). Then remove from fire. Add coffee and sugar and mix until sugar melts. After it gets cold enough, add fresh cream. Put it in a vase and mix. It can be served as soon as it's ready, in cups or glasses, adding on top a little bit of cream mixed with sugar.
Cold Coffee
A hot coffee tasting is a delight, but for those who don't know, the cold coffee is also a delicacy which delights your taste buds in a unique way.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of crushed ice
2 espresso cups
4 hot chocolate teaspoons
3 sugar teaspoons
Cream
2 cups of milk
1 vanilla teaspoon
Directions:
First, mix the 2 espresso cups with milk. When you get a uniform mixture, add sugar and chocolate powder and dissolve them in the composition. Add the vanilla teaspoon and a cup of cream, then the crushed ice. Mix for approximately 30 seconds, and then pour the drink into large glasses, leaving room for the cream which will decorate your glass.
Cappucino Fiorentino
For sure, you would love to prepare yourself a traditional cappuccino, as it is served in Italy.
The right proportions are:
1/3 warm espresso and 2/3 milk and cream foam.
Fill three quarters of a glass with fresh milk and pour warm espresso over the milk. Carefully pour milk or cream foam so that it won't get dissolved before being served. Powder with unsweetened cocoa and chocolate (preferably black). Serve in a cup similar to the one for tea, together with a biscuit.
Coffe Cocktails
There isn't a real rule for the ingredients which can be used in a cocktail, that's why the coffee has its special place in the most refined drink combinations.
Irish Coffe
Ingredients: 1 1/4 Irish Whisky, 1/2 cl Kahlua, coffee, cream, mint cream.
Pour coffee on Irish Whisky and Kahlua, decorate with cream, mint cream and a cherry.
Italian Coffee
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cl. Amaretto, coffee, cream.
Pour coffee on Amaretto, decorate with cream and garnish with a cherry.
English Coffee
Ingredients:
1/2 cl. each of Kahlua, Amaretto, Tia Maria & cocoa cream, coffee, cream.
Mix the liqueurs, fill the glass with coffee and decorate with cream.
Mexican Coffee
Ingredients:3/4 cl. Kahlua and tequila, coffee, cream.
Pour coffee over liqueurs and decorate with cream, garnish with a cherry.
